There is 1 guide for groups of 1-2 people, 2 guides for groups of 3-4 people, and 3 guides for groups of 5-6 people, and so on. We do not offer any options for 3-person trips paired with only one guide, but we can accommodate those groups with the services of two of our guides.
Fly fishing is a terrific family activity, but these trips are inappropriate for infants, toddlers, and children who typically require mid-day naps. We have found that 12 is a good age, but everyone is different so check with us if you are uncertain.
Our guided trips mostly take place on medium to large-sized Montana fly fishing rivers that are best experienced while floating. The typical day trip involves fly fishing while floating with intermittent wade-fishing opportunities. We always recommend a float trip for the best experience and flexibility when water or weather conditions change.
